Außerdem welche Linux Distri.. gibt über 600? verschiedene, da wären sicherlich auch welche bei gewesen die auf der Kiste schneller als XP SP1 laufen würden.
z.B. DSL (Damn Small Linux), welches sogar auf einem 486er mit genügend RAM performant läuft.

ich habe mit meinem openSuSE 11.1 das Problem, dass ich keinen Platz mehr auf der Platte habe...
Nun, wie kann ich Programme deinstallieren, bzw. aufräumen?
