Fynnk, ohne dir zu nahe treten zu wollen. Ich bin der Meinung Debian ist durchaus als Desktop zu gebrauchen, genau wie CentOS oder SL.
Man muss bei manchen Dingen umdenken, aber die Eignung ist durchaus vorhanden.
BTW Ich verwende seit über nem Jahr Debian Squeeze als Desktopsystem. (Auf x86 ist Squeeze ganz gut nutzbar)
Natürlich ist es nicht für jeden geeeignet, sagt ja auch keiner.

@Batch10s Debian bietet keinen Punkt für nen Dualboot an. In der Regel (bei korrekter Partitionierung) übernimmt Grub diesen Part.

Edit: Welche Netzwerkkarte wird denn nicht erkannt? Gib mal bitte Art und Modell raus.

Gar keine. Habe zwar nen Fernseher, nutze ihn aber nicht.

Ich glaube, dass der CSS-Kopierschutz in D noch gilt. In Finnland bspw net mehr.
EDIT: winfreak war schneller.

Mittlerweile gehen auch die Windows Shares. Ist zwar kacklahm, aber besser als nix.

Ich würde mal annehmen, dass das eine etwas unglücklich gelungene Beschriftung für das Feld ist, in das du die Adresse (Domänenname bzw. IP-Adresse) deines VPN-Servers eintragen sollst.

Die habe ich ja nicht. Ich werd bei Gelegenheit mal den Admin anschreiben.

So. Jetzt kommt für euch wahrscheinlich ne Noob Frage.

Ich habe folgende 2 Dateien:
koehleto.p12 und koehleto-TO-IPCop-RED.ovpn.
Das sind meine Zertifikate für das VPN der Berufsschule.

Allerdings scheine ich noch eine Gatewayadresse zu brauchen. Wisst ihr wo ich die finden kann?
Unser Admin konnte mir da auch nicht weiterhelfen.
